Keto Bagel Recipe

Updated: Sep 10, 2021

I've seen a few keto bagel recipes pop up from time to time, but none of them really captured the true feel of a bagel. It was always either too eggy, too cheesy, or just not chewy enough. This lead me on my quest to create the best keto bagel possible. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do.

Let's Do This:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine Almond Flour, Baking Powder, and Salt. Mix thoroughly and break up all clumps.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the Water, Heavy Whipping Cream, Egg, and Yeast.

  3. In a microwave safe bowl, or double boiler if you don't like microwaves, melt the Mozzarella Cheese. Be sure to stir it often so that it does not burn.

  4. One completely melted, add cheese and egg mixture to the flour mixture.

  5. Mix and knead until it becomes smooth. This can take some time, but make sure that you cannot see and chunks of cheese or flour.

  6. Divide dough into 5 equal size balls

  7. Roll each ball into a 6-8 inch long tube

  8. Join the ends of each tube with itself to form the shape of a bagel. Make sure that this connection is tight.

  9. Run your fingers inside of the bagel in order to help expand the hole in the center. It will need to be about 2 inches in diameter.

  10. Dip the finished bagels in Olive Oil, then the Brunch Life seasoning.

  11. Let rest while you preheat your oven to 425F.

  12. Bake for 10 minutes.

  13. Allow to cool completely before eating.

  14. Enjoy!
